Lessons From New-York
After 10 weeks, my adventures in New-York have finally ended. A chapter of my life that has been one of the most transformative and heart-opening so far.
The lessons from New-York started before I went. Back in Sweden, I feared that this trip could not be made. I doubted for many months, until one day, I set the firm intention to make it happen.
And I'm so happy I did. In a matter of days, I settled everything and found the solutions I had been seeking for months. Proving once again, the power of one's faith.
New-York was nothing like I expected. I imagined I would be doing a ton of things, meeting new people every week, and enjoying the big city life.
What I didn't know, was that this would be one of the most healing periods of my journey.
I ended up working with what were by far the best healers I have ever met. I went on a deep inner journey, filled with emotional turmoils, remembrances, and ecstatic moments of joy.
Nothing like I expected. But, as very often in my life, I got what I needed. I listened to what my soul was yearning for and learned to honor it.
The biggest lesson I learned over these 10 weeks was how to be more loving with myself. How to honor my process, and let go of all my time-bound agendas.
This is an ongoing journey as my ego always seeks to high-jack me, but I now feel more adept at listening to the whispers of my soul.
Life is not a straightforward journey and we must always listen to what we need in the moment. We constantly oscillate between yin and yang, contraction and expansion.
Honoring our internal flows is what makes our life enjoyable. It helps us live in communion with Spirit, nature, and love.
As this chapter ends, a new one opens itself. A period of expansion is lurking over the horizon.
But most of all, what I wish to share here is how loving ourselves is the greatest source of healing.
Through love, we become more authentic and nurture into being the parts of ourselves that were wounded and abandoned.
Taking the time to relearn how to be loving is perhaps the most important lesson of our lifetime. For love is the source of our highest way of being.
