Releasing Control
There are times in life when we have to take a leap forward but we are terrified. Fear paralyzes us, and we are flooded with doubts and anxiety. We wonder what will happen if we dare to take that step.
Most people live trapped between fear and control. They don’t realize this since it is mostly unconscious. In order to protect ourselves and feel safe, we make decisions that limit us and stop us from growing.
I know, because I’ve lived like this most of my life. Growing up, I had dreadful fears about what would happen if I released control, and allowed myself to be. I was terrified and disconnected from my soul and inner truth.
These fears and beliefs are rooted in our traumas and conditioning. In some cases, this goes back generations. It is the programming we have learned and adopted as truth.
Releasing control leads us to transcend our fears and beliefs. It connects us back to our source and the impulses of our heart, even if everyone tells us it’s a terrible idea. This is terrifying, but it is the path of inner truth and awakening.
Each being has a mission of its own. Our desires, purposes, and traumas, all differ. There never was, and never will be, a one-size-fits-all formula.
When we get stuck in our old programming, we do not allow space for guidance and evolution. The Universe wants to awaken us, but we choose to stay asleep.
The question is, who wants you to stay stuck in fear and control?
Take a moment to let that seep in. Why are we programmed from childhood to believe in fear and limitation? Are these fears and beliefs even real?
This is the starting point from which we release the grip of fear controlling our lives. From here, we can allow ourselves to explore the whispers of our souls.
It’s a liberating moment. Yet, every time I take an intuitive leap I feel some kind of fear and doubt — these underlying beliefs are still rooted in me.
Yet, eventually, my heart wins over and I follow my inner truth. And this happens, even if I have no idea what I am saying yes to.
But I would rather live this way and make mistakes than remain in fear. Deep down, I know my feelings never lie. It’s my mind that betrays me.
Releasing control and following our intuition are the ultimate acts of courage. In this way, we surrender to something much grander than ourselves. A flow we may have been deprived of most of our life.
Even in the current pandemics of fear and anxiety, we still have the opportunity to choose differently. We can follow our intuition and decide to go down a path completely unknown to us.
So… In which areas of your life can you release control?
How can you allow space for intuition and change?
What is your heart calling you towards this year?
Fear is the illusion. Love knows what is best for us.
We only need to let go and trust.
