Letting Go
It’s very hard to let go of the constructs of our mind. We learn very soon how to behave and how to identify ourselves. We create images about who we are and what is acceptable, in order to fit in the criteria of society.
But as we grow up, many of us realize that our minds have become our prison. We have created boxes within ourselves about who we are and what we are capable of. We have set roadblocks on our path to greater joy and greater love.
I say this with experience having been a very mind-driven person. I know how easy it is to get lost in negative thought and destruct yourself from within. And when you realize how much pain you are inflicting on yourself, it is very hard to swallow.
I believed for a long time that I had no solution, and that my mind was the only way of understanding life. However, I must confess today that this no longer holds true for me. There is an infinite mind that is far greater than our little minds. And this is the one you can ask guidance for.
Where lies this infinite mind? It doesn’t exists outside of ourselves. No, we all have access to it from within our body. You might have guessed it already, I'm talking about our heart.
It is no secret in ancient traditions that the heart is the gateway to our soul. If you ever took a moment to tune into your heart before taking a decision, you know what I mean.
The mind will resist this at first. You will hear conflicting thoughts and feel resistance. You will think you are going crazy. But if you listen to the feeling within your heart you will know where lies your truth.
It doesn't take much practice and soon enough you will be able to listen to these messages regularly. But the hard part is following them. Like I said before, your conditioning and old traumas, will want to stop you.
But the magic happens when your love becomes greater than the fear that was holding you back. That is when you hold the key to the gateway of heaven within.
I am not saying this to criticize the mind and its uses. I know that it can be tremendously helpful. But it only serves its real purpose when it is aligned with the heart. Until then, we are just playing games with our ego and old programming.
It’s in the union of the heart and the mind, that we find salvation. It’s through this unity that we create the life of our dreams and heal our deepest wounds. But this takes a whole lot of courage in a world divorced from the heart.
Each one of us is responsible for this decision. We have the choice to follow the path with a heart or live in our fears for the rest of our lives. This takes practice and no one ever gets perfect at it. But there is a path to follow if we choose to.
The heart is our connection to our soul and the universe. It’s from there that we can access our true self and who we came here to be.
Tuning into your heart is a lifelong practice. But it can just mean putting your hand on your chest, taking a few deep breaths, and listening to what it has to say.
We all have the power to tap into our infinite mind and inner wisdom. That is how we reconnect ourselves with oneness and love.
We all have the choice to take a step within the confines of our heart, and enter the temple of God within.
When we let go of our mind, we allow ourselves to surrender to our soul. And this is the greatest gift we will ever give ourselves.
