Finding Your Way

Finding one's way is a process. We don't always come into life with perfect clarity on who we want to be. Even when it is the case, we have to overcome the many layers of fear that inhibit our way.

My journey into spirituality, coaching, and healing, has been everything but a straightforward line. The more I planned and expected things, the further away from my heart I felt.

Now, this doesn't mean we shouldn't have any structure or goals in our lives. It is our attachment to the structure that truly harms us. Finding our way, is about learning to flow with the present moment and the tasks we are given now.

Focusing on a distant future or an ideal plan, is not the way that works for me. I have some clarity on who and what I want to be, but how this happens is ultimately outside of my control.

This is where trust in life and in yourself comes into play. When I plan my life with detail, I am often motivated by insecurity and fear. I attach my own self-worth and identity to the achievement of my goals.

Faith, however, implies that you surrender to something much bigger than yourself. Something that can only be felt and experienced by living in tune with your inner being.

I started 2022 with clear objectives for my business, only to realize a few months in, that my financial and customer goals were the product of my need to be someone and to make my business a success.

In retrospect, I now see how far away these goals were from my original intention of serving people and helping them on their evolutionary path.

The risk with our goals, is when we are driven by our egos instead of our hearts.

If we achieve them, we feel perhaps wiser, more secure, or happier... But all of this is shallow because it relies on external validation to be felt.

Ultimately, we have to discover that we can be happy in the process if we fully accept who we are right now.

It is not your ideal job that will give you a perfect sense of happiness. It is the person you will BE. The feelings and emotions you will generate. All of which do not depend on your job but on your relationship with yourself.

One's true bliss is felt in the daily process, not in the attainment of our goals, which brings us a temporary sense of fulfillment. True joy is felt every day when we are striving towards something that is meaningful for us.

When we live through our hearts, we are embodying the true purpose of our existence. What we do matters less than the energy we do it with.

I want to be happy in the journey, not once in a while when things go according to plan. The more detached we are regarding how our life unfolds, the more we can be led to the experiences we truly need.

Sure, fears will come up. But they are part of the process of fully accepting who we are and embodying our authentic selves.

Like Rumi said, "Let yourself be silently led by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray."

Who do you truly wish to be? What actions are you ready to take?

Step forward and let go of the fears that inhibit you.

Your heart will not lead you astray.
