Creating Your Vision

The end of the year is my favorite time to create a vision for the next cycle of my life. It is when I allow myself to dream and tune into what I want to manifest. I take a moment to slow down and get clear on what really matters to me.

2021 was a very intense year for me, as it was for most of us. Yet, I felt quite protected and free from worldly concerns. I didn't have to worry too much about finances, and I could focus all my time and energy on my inner work.

I know I won’t always have this freedom in my life. This period has come to an end. I have been blessed to dive deep into my spiritual journey in 2021. But now, the time has come to reintegrate the normal world and use everything I have learned in service to others.

I have been preparing for this shift for the past 6 months volunteering in a spiritual community in Sweden, traveling to New York for a shamanic healing, and finally sailing across the Atlantic with my father. I was learning how to apply everything I have practiced in the “normal” world.

Spirituality that is not practiced is just religion. We must put our principles to a test to know what they are really worth.

For many, these trying times have shown us how committed we were to our values. Millions have lost their jobs and reinvented themselves to defend the values they hold to their heart.

All changes start with a vision, a glimpse of what's to come. But to create the highest vision takes time and silence. It asks us to investigate what dreams are coming to life in us and deeply connect to what we want to create.

2021 started in the most unimaginable way for me. I was traveling with my father to the Caribbean for New Year on the 31st of December. Suddenly, a striking and deadening pain took over my gut, and I rolled over myself in anguish.

As the pain worsened, I started praying for help and felt I had to stand up and walk. No longer had I walked five steps, that I fainted in the middle of the aisle. I woke up a few seconds later, face down on the floor and surrounded by people.

I had no idea what had happened to me, but I knew this had some deeper meaning. As I stood up, the pain had almost vanished. The flight crew spent the rest of the flight checking on me but I felt strangely light and peaceful.

I had learned a precious lesson and caught a glimpse of what 2021 had prepared for me. This year was going to be all about surrendering and faith. I would learn to fully let go of my ego and trust the guidance I receive.

And low and behold, this is exactly what happened.

I was guided through one synchronistic adventure to the other. In a year where most were stuck at home, I was traveling to a new place every few months. I was supported and offered opportunities all along the way.

Of course, this was far from easy for me. I doubted my intuitions many times. I lost faith. I feared I would turn out broke or get stuck somewhere. But I continued moving. Nothing stopped the flow of life that was guiding me in my adventures.

I am still in awe about all that happened to me this year. But I know that this new one will be tough. Now, everything I have learned is going to be put to a test.

I feel that 2022 will be a year of quantum changes for all of us. It will demand great strength and courage, as we continue to transform and walk into the unknown.

As I contemplate my vision for this new cycle, these words come to me 2022: The Year of the Hero.

The times of crisis we are living have woken up millions around the world to the real nature of life. Many have spent the last two years healing themselves and awakening to who they truly are.

This was my case. I worked with teachers and mentors from all over the world. I diligently built a foundation that would support me in my journey. But now it is time to use this foundation to create something new and serve others.

Here are a few of my dreams for 2022:

  • Become financially free and abundant

  • Turn pro as a writer, teacher, and coach

  • Continue learning and growing as much as I can

  • Dive deeper into my inner work and healing

  • Develop connections, community, and relationships

  • Lead groups of men to discover their true selves

  • Teach my first online course or workshop

  • Live immersed in nature’s gifts

This vision is what I feel I am being called to do. The same goes for each of us. If we tune out the noise and really listen to what we want to create in our life, we will know what is right for us now.

Vision precedes action. All things are created first in our minds. I do not know how these dreams will manifest, but I trust they will and I am committed to taking action.

Of course, our vision will evolve as it rubs itself with reality. Every objective must be grounded in practical action and a clear process. This is where the magic happens.

Following our bliss means blending the spiritual and the material into one.

So what do you feel called to create in 2022? What is your soul longing for? And how can you ground these dreams into reality?
